Deacon's Campout Hike to Red Lake 2012

We enjoyed the overcast and somewhat mild weather walking on the wooded slopes of the mountains up to Red Lake. We started at the Maple Lake Campground and hiked 1.7 miles up the trail to the lake (more like a dirty little pond now, not like it was 20 years ago). Four of the deacons went and it was the first for one of them. Everyone was a little stiff and sore the next day at church. It was a good backpacking campout and all the boys did a great job. The camp was well cleaned up and no one got hurt.
